CANDIDACY PROCESS
RUSH INFORMATION

Rush is a series of events open to all prospective candidates. It is designed for you to get to know Beta Alpha Psi and our chapter.
The first rush events are basic information sessions where you will learn about our chapter and what makes us unique from other business organizations on campus. During these information sessions, you will be exposed to the history of our organization, the prosperity of our members, and what it means to truly be involved in this premier business organization.
Our second event is Meet the Chapter. At this event, you will have the opportunity to speak with our officers, directors, and members. It is a casual formal event designed to help you better view the culture of our organization. The attire for the event is business professional and the event date, time, and location can be found on our calendar here.
Lastly, rush will conclude with a general screening interview. All prospective candidates have to participate in the interview to begin their candidacy process. Interviews are given to everyone, and will only last for fifteen minutes. During this time, the officers will go over your professional and academic goals, as well as, discuss the gravity of joining a premier honors organization.
After interviews, candidates may begin their candidacy process. Please note that applications and payment can be submitted at any time during the rush process. The last date to submit applications and payment for 2016 is February 29th by 5pm.
Additional Details
The interview is the only required part of rush for prospective candidates. The information sessions and Meet the Chapter event are recommended, but not required. Attire for the interview is business professional and you can register for a time slot here. The interview does not disqualify anyone from beginning their pledgeship; however, the basic academic requirements to pledge must be met.
